Quarantine Photo
Okay... Quarantine has been hard on us all. We all want to see our friends and family. This fun quarantine photo can make it seem like you are together again. First, go to Zoom. (I think you could also do it on any other video call app that you can have a virtual background) Then invite one of your friends to the call. Have one of you take a screenshot of the other person on one half of their screen while they are in active speaker view, like this. We used our stuffed animals.
Now, have the other person (the owl, in this example) go in front of a solid colored background and set your virtual background to the photo of the other person. Arrange yourself in front of the camera so you take up the other half of the screen, making sure you are the same size (change this by backing up or getting closer) and that you look like you are next to each other. Have one of you double tap on the person with the virtual background so they are fullscreened, it can be either of you, and take a screenshot. You can then crop the screenshot until it doesn't look like it was taken in zoom. Make sure you send it to the other person! In the end, it should look something like this:
Have fun with it! You can try as many different poses and faces as you want, and you could maybe even try more than two people in it! Hopefully this was a fun thing to try, and made you less bored and lonely.

Seed Update
Hi again! I recently showed you how to plant seeds in egg cartons, and if you remember, I planted chamomile and fringed pinks. So, I thought I'd give you an update on how they are doing. Both of them are sprouting!

Egg Carton Planting
Hello again! Spring has sprung, so it is time for some gardening. My mom and I planted these great egg carton plants. You plant the seeds directly in the carton, so they don't have to be outside well they sprout, you reuse the egg carton, and you can move them wherever! After they are all planted, make sure the soil is always moist. You can do this by checking on them every day, and watering them when needed. They dry out very quickly because there is not much soil in each hole. Then, wait for sprouts!
Here are the steps that I took:
1. Have your egg carton(s) ready
2. Fill all the holes with soil
3. Get your seeds out, I choose Fringed Pinks and Chamomile
4. Plant your seeds
5. Water them with a spray bottle or pitcher
6. Label them
7. Put them in the sun

Top 5 Series for Fantasy Lovers like me
I have ranked 5 amazing fantasy book series below!! I highly recommend all of these books. I think they would be best for anyone over 4th grade. I have read all of these except the 4th and 5th of The School for Good and Evil, which I am still trying to access. Please comment if you took my suggestions to heart, and you are currently reading one of these series. I just finished re-reading the third book in the Land of Stories series, and I was reminded about how good they are!
1. Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling (7 books)
2. Keeper of the Lost Cities by Shannon Messenger (8 books)
3. Land of Stories by Chris Colfer (6 books)
4. Wings of Fire by Tui T. Sutherland (19 books)
5. The School for Good and Evil by Soman Chainani (5 books)
Some of these authors are still writing new books for their series, so forgive me if the book count is not up to date. Please email me or comment below on the next genre or subject to rate.

Chocolate Mug Cakes
Hi Guys!!
One of my favorite recipes of all time is a chocolate mug cake. It is a single serving brownie like cake, and is soooo good. This recipe makes 2 at a time, and only takes 5 minutes.
Ingredients
2 tbs of butter
2 oz of chocolate chips
4 tbs of sugar
2 tbs of flour
1 egg
1. Put one tablespoon of butter and one ounce of chocolate chips in each 12oz mug and microwave each one separately for 45 seconds and stir until melted
2. Add 2 tablespoons of sugar to each mug and stir until blended. In a separate small bowl, crack the egg and scramble it with a fork. Then, split the egg evenly between the mugs.
3. Mix a tablespoon of flour into both mugs, until the batter is well blended. Then microwave each one separately for one minute. Enjoy!
